FOREIGN LANGUAGE SUBTITLE EDITOR – Latin American Department
Reports To: Supervisor, Subtitles and
Translations
Status: Full-Time and Freelance
Start Date: Next Month
Salary: 15,000 MXP a month

SUMMARY
The Foreign Language Subtitle Editor will translate, correlate, spot, transcribe, and proof film-related content for any/all of the following mediums: DVD, Broadcast, streaming media, dubbing, gaming and corporate projects.

The successful applicant will be able to do the following:

• Complete work assignments in a timely and
accurate manner
• Possess the aptitude to learn specific,
subtitle-centric computer programs
• Pay great attention to detail
• Able to apply studio subtitle protocols
as needed and adhere to all special
instructions
• Work well under pressure in a deadline-
driven environment
• Ability to work independently and as a
team player
• Be proactive and communicate
problems/issues/developments effectively
to supervisor, peers, and/or internal
staff as needed
• Help out with other duties in department
as needed
• Attend departmental or other meetings as
directed
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent writing and proofreading skills
in your native language
• Excellent English reading and writing
skills
• Excellent knowledge of your native culture
• Excellent organizational skills with
project ownership attitude
• Excellent computer skills (Office XP);
film editing software a plus
• Experience in tasks requiring extreme
accuracy
• Must be detail-oriented
• Must be quick to adapt to shifting
priorities
• Must be a team player
• Must have empathy for different cultures
• Must be able to communicate effectively
and tactfully with all levels of
personnel (in person, telephone, written)
• Must be able to work efficiently under
time constraints
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks in
a fast-paced environment
• Must be service-oriented
• Must be able to work flexible hours if
and when necessary

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Previous subtitling and translation experience desired.
