Production Engineer / Technologist

The enterprise is looking for a Field Production Engineer/Technologist to join our Rainbow Lake field office. Reporting to the Lead Production Engineer, you will be responsible to provide engineering support to field operations and will play a key role in the implementation of oil and gas well optimization strategies as part of a multi-disciplinary team:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
• Prepare repair programs for artificial lift wells which include gas lift optimization, review of IPR curves, rod design, prepare cost estimates, design and ordering lift system equipment. Identify and complete flare permit submission as required.
• Identify and prepare chemical/scale inhibition/ wax inhibition/ stimulation, including bullhead acid, CTU cleanout and acid wash, programs for wells.
• Prepare well test programs including static gradient, flow and build up, segregation test, injectivity test and spinner logging programs.
• Co-ordinate dynamometer and fluid level programs. Interpret and implement recommended optimization from dyno testing.
• Communicate with other team members including field operations, reservoir, other production staff and management to reach an accord on all planned activities and keep those individuals up to date on project status.
Qualifications
We are looking for:
• An engineering degree with at least 3 years experience in the oil and gas industry. Technologists with commensurate experience will be considered.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Good technical and analytical skills.
• Well developed computer skills.
• Field operations experience would be an asset.
